Entry Fee and Deadline
$150. Deadline for entry is Friday, May 26th at 4:00 pm.
36 holes of individual stroke play using the Modified Stableford scoring system. Overall Champion to be determined from the Open Division. The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round. Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.
Two divisions with Modified Stableford scoring. Players should select their division based on distance of golf course they wish to play and type of scoring preference (see below):

Modified Stableford Scoring
The Modified Stableford scoring system gives golfers points on each hole, based on golfer's score relative to par. It is designed to reward players for taking chances to go for birdies (or better), as the reward for a low score on a hole is typically greater than the punishment for a poor score. The golfer's score on each hole is added for the round. Holes in one are treated as the score relative to par (i.e. an ace on a par-3 hole would be considered an eagle).

Colbert Hills Golf Course is a public facility. Practice rounds are available at the discretion and fee set by the host club. Please call (785) 776-6475 to arrange a practice round.
Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time. Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.
In the second year for the Konza Prairie Amateur Championship in 2016, Salina junior golfer Grant Herrenbruck posted an impressive second round that culminated in 12 total points which put him at 4 points total in the Prairie Fire Division of the 36-hole stableford format championship. Manhattan junior golfer Cole Gritton finished in the runner-up position with 0 total points. In the Flint Division, Hanover's Cory Jensen ran away from the field and posted a seven point victory over his nearest competitior, Kansas City's Don Kuehn.
Carts, Spectators and Caddies
Carts are included for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee. Only two carts are allowed per starting time. Spectators and caddies are always welcome at KGA Championships.

There will be no registration at this event. You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time. This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.
Scores will not be posted to the GHIN Handicap System since it is a Stableford scoring format.

Close of Competition
The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
