Monday, June 12th -- Practice Round - See below for scheduling information

Tuesday, June 13th -- First round (18 holes) - 7:30 am/12:30 pm off both tees

Wednesday, June 14th -- Second round (18 holes) - 7:30 am/12:30 pm off both tees (CUT MADE)
Thursday, June 15th - Third round (18 holes) - 7:30 am off both tees

Players Lunch

As part of your entry fee, the KGA will provide lunch to all players during the first two rounds (Tuesday & Wednesday) of the championship.  More information on lunches will be provided at player registration on Monday, June 12th.  There will be no lunch provided following Thursday's final round.

Eligibility


Female junior amateurs age 12 and older as of June 13, 2017.  No KGA affiliation required.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$90.  Deadline for entry is Monday, June 5th at 4:00 pm.

Format

54 holes of individual stroke play.  Following 36 holes there will be a cut to the low 15 and ties.  Overall Champion to be determined.  The event may be shortened to 36 holes if weather cancels either round.  Trophies will be awarded to the top three.  Medals awarded to all players that make the cut.

Practice Round

Turkey Creek Golf Course will be available for a practice round on Monday, June 12th (weather permitting).  The practice round is included as part of your entry fee.  Tee times are available from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. The practice round will be paired in groups of four players. Arranging your practice round with four players is preferred. Players that call with less than four players will not be given the same priority as players that call with a full group. KGA office phone and email: (785) 842-4833 or kga@kansasgolf.org

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champion

Fairway's Jessica Parker claimed the 6th Sadie Park Sunflower Girls Junior in 2016 at Indian Hills Country Club.  Parker posted rounds of 73-78--151 to finish threes ahead of Lenexa's Tatum King.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.  Spectator carts may be available at the discretion and price determined by the host club.  Caddies are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.

Registration

Registration is required for this championship.  The registration table will be located near the clubhouse and/or scoreboard area at the host club.  Players must register prior to their practice round.  At registration, players will sign the player appreciation scroll for the host club, confirm championship starting times and answer any questions that players and/or spectators may have.  

Score Posting


Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System using ESC (equitable stroke control).

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
