Total Field

qualifying players currently entered prior to the second chance qualifier.  There will be 86 qualifying spots available in the first five qualifying sites to advance to the Championship to be held July 15-21 at Milburn Country Club (Overland Park, KS).  Players who qualify for the championship must notify the KGA if they do not plan to compete in the championship.  Failure to notify the KGA may result in suspension from future KGA events.

Exempt Players

There are 33 exempt players currently entered.

Qualifying Format

18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs will be conducted at each qualifier to determine the exact number of qualifiers advancing from each site. No alternates will be designated as players will have the opportunity to attempt to qualify again at the 2nd Chance Qualifier on July 2nd.  Players are only allowed to attempt to qualify at one qualifying site prior to the 2nd Chance Qualifier.

2nd Chance Qualifier

The 2nd Chance Qualifier is available for those players that failed to advance out of one of the five original qualifying sites or missed the posted June 11th entry deadline.  Entries for the 2nd Chance Qualifier will open on June 25th and close on June 29th at 4:00 pm.  The field is limited to 78 players.  There will be 13 qualifying positions at the 2nd Chance Qualifying site.  Additionally, 4 alternate positions will be determined.  Entry fee for the 2nd Chance Qualifier is $95.

Practice Rounds

No official practice round is available.  Each hosting club has its own policy regarding access for a practice round.  The KGA does not guarantee a practice round at this stage of the Championship.   Please contact the professional staff at your qualifying site to determine whether you may play a practice round, and whether there is a charge.

Practice Facilities

Weather permitting, the practice range at each qualifying site will be open at least 45 minutes prior to the first starting time.  Practice balls are complimentary to contestants prior to the round only (balls will likely be located on the range for you).

There is no registration at the qualifying sites.  You are responsible for being at your starting tee approximately 5 minutes prior to your starting time.  Failure to notify the KGA of withdrawal prior to the qualifying round may result in suspension from future KGA events.

Carts, Caddies

Carts are permitted at each regional qualifying site.  Cost of a cart is the player’s responsibility.  Players may provide their own caddie (see dress code).

Food & Beverage

Limited availability (if playing on a Monday at a private club); check with the club regarding payment with cash, credit card or reciprocal sign-back.

Groupings & Starting Times

Every effort was made to meet a player’s request for qualifying site and starting time.  If an error was made, contact the KGA immediately.  Otherwise, we ask that you not request a change in your assigned site or starting time.  Pairings for the Championship at Milburn Country Club will be available after the final qualifier is completed (approximately July 5th).

Attire and Conduct

Proper attire is required.  Slacks, Bermuda-length shorts, collared golf shirt.  No tank tops, T-shirts, jeans (including denim shorts of any color) or “cargo-style” pants or shorts.  Shirts must be tucked in and if a hat is worn, the bill must be worn forward.  This applies to your caddie also.  Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct, including the use of obscene or abusive language, will be cause for disqualification and the player may be subject to suspension from future KGA events.

For additional information, contact the KGA office.
