Eligibility


Open to all amateur golfers regardless of age or affiliation.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$300.  Deadline for entry is Friday, June 2nd at 4:00 pm.

Format

36 holes of four-ball stroke play (gross scoring only). Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

Qualifying for Heart of America Four-Ball Match Play Championship

The top 16 available teams from the final results of the Open Division of the Kansas Four-Ball Championship will be invited to participate in the 2017 Heart of America Four-Ball Match Play Championship to be held August 7-9 at Topeka Country Club (Topeka, KS).  More information on qualification, format and paying the $200 team match play entry fee will be made available to the qualifying teams.  Click here for more information on seeding, schedule of events, etc.


Divisions

Two age divisions:

  • Open (players of any age)
  • Masters (both players age 30 & Older)

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 7,000 yards (Open Division)
  • 6,600 yards (Masters Division)


Practice Round

Eagle Bend Golf Course is a public facility.  Practice rounds are available at the disrection and fee set by the host club.  Please call (785) 748-0600 to arrange a practice round.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champions

In 2016 at Eagle Bend Golf Course, Kansas State University teammates Connor Knabe & Ben Fernandez blitzed the field of competitors with back to back rounds of 11-under par 61 to finish at 22-under 122 total for the 36-hole championship.  Kansas Universtiy teammates Chase Hanna & Charlie Hillier finished in the runner-up position at 19-under 125 total. The team of Kurt Lorenzen & Ward Zerger bested the field in the Masters Division with rounds of 70-68--138.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are included for the championship as part of your entry fee.  Spectator carts are available at the discretion and fee set by the host club.  Caddies are allowed, but only one cart is allowed per team.

Registration

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsibile to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
