Mid-Amateur Team -- Male amateurs age 25 or older as of April 30, 2018. 

Senior Team -- Male amateurs age 50 or older as of April 30, 2018.

Must be a male KGA member.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$360.  Deadline for entry is Monday, April 23rd at 4:00 pm.

Field Size

52 teams total between Mid-Am Team & Senior Team.


54 holes of team stroke play contested over two days.  36 holes on day one, 18 holes on day two.  Different format each round.  There is no cut.

Round Two - Foursomes
Round Three - Four-Ball

Three divisions (Mid-Amateur, Senior, Super Senior).  Gross & net scoring for all teams.

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,240 yards (Mid-Am)
  • 6,240 yards (Senior)
  • 6,000 yards (Super Senior)

Practice Round

No official practice round is offered, but are available by contacting the host club.  Contact the golf shop at Manhattan Country Club at (785) 539-6221 to arrange a practice round.  Cost of practice round including cart and range is $75.  Times will be available after 12:00 pm on Sunday, April 29th.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champions

In 2017 at Reflection Ridge Golf Club in Wichita, Jeff Bell and Elliot Soyez cruised to an easy nine shot victory.  The Wichita duo of Matt Lazzo and Charlie Stevens finished in the runner-up position.   

In the Senior Team competition, the team of Dave Carson and Gary Lucas were victorious by two shots over the teams of Michael Rack/Mark Steiner, Steve Newman/Tracy Chamberlin and Doug Kaup/Greg Goode. In the Super Senior division, Bill Quattlebaum and Ben York claimed victory by four shots over the John Alefs/Joe Rothwell and Dick Stuntz/Bob Bezek teams.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are included for all rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee.  Caddies are allowed, but only one cart is allowed per team.  Spectators carts are allowed at the discretion and fee set by the host club.

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
