Open to amateur golfers (male or female).  One team member must be a KGA member.  Both team members must have a USGA Handicap Index.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$280.  Deadline for entry is Sunday, July 22nd.

Field Size

52 teams max

36 holes of four-ball stroke play with two age divisions (Open and Junior).  All teams will compete for gross and net scoring.  Each team member will receive handicap strokes on those holes equal to or less than his course handicap.  Each player's course handicap will be computed as of the last GHIN Revision prior to the event.  The team will record the best gross and best net score made on each hole by the team.

The KGA reserves the right to adjust a contestant’s Handicap Index prior to, during, or after the event at its sole discretion.  Should a contestant return a net score that falls outside the USGA’s estimate of “less than 250:1 odds,” that contestant may be assigned a revised handicap in multiple day events or in single day events¸ such will be grounds for upward modification of the net score (to result in odds no less than 250:1).

Two age divisions:

  • Open Division for teams that do not have a junior golfer on their team.
  • Junior Division for teams that have a junior golfer.  Junior Division teams are not allowed to accept gift certificates per KSHSAA rules.

Any team from either division may win the overall championship.

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,200 yards (male golfers)
  • 5,400 yards (male golfers over age 70)
  • 5,400 yards (female golfers)

Practice Round

No official practice round is available.  A practice round may be available by calling the golf shop at Terradyne Country Club at (316) 733-5851.  Any practice round is at the player's expense and at the discretion and fee set by the host club.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champion

The father-son duo Winston & Quincy Stith claimed victory in 2017 at Crestview (North) Country Club.  The Stith's defeated David & Jonathan May after a three hole sudden death playoff after both teams finished at 14-under par 130 total.  In the Junior Division, the Lawrence team of Chuck & Jack Junge edged Scott & Nicklaus Mason by one shot.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are included for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee.  Spectator carts are available at the discretion and fee set by the host club.  Only one cart is allowed per team.
