Male amateurs age 50 or older as of July 10, 2017.  Both players on team must be a KGA members.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$350.  Deadline for entry is Monday, July 3rd at 4:00 pm.


36 holes of four-ball stroke play with two divisions.  Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

For Net Scoring, each player's handicap will be reduced to 90% of his course handicap based on slope of the tee distance being played, with handicap strokes applied on a hole by hole basis, and team's net score on a hole by hole "best ball" total.


Two divisions available:

  • Championship (any age - gross & net scoring)
  • Super Senior (both players on team age 60 & older - gross & net scoring)

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,500 yards (Championship Division)
  • 6,200 yards (Super Senior Division)

Practice Round

Falcon Lakes Golf Club is a semi-private facility.  Practice rounds are available at the discretion and fee set by the host club.  Please call (913) 724-4653 to inquire about practice rounds.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champion

In 2016 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course, the Wichita duo of Steve Newman & Tracy Chamberlin repeated as Senior Four-Ball champs after besting the team of Gary Lucas & Dave Carson by shot.  Newman & Chamberlin posted back to back rounds of 6-under par 66.  In the Super Senior Division, KGA veterans Bob Bezek of Ottawa and James Seward of Prairie Village teamed up for a five stroke victory over the field of 60 & older players.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are provided for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee. Only one cart is allowed per team.  Spectators and caddies are always welcome at KGA Championships.

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsibile to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
