Male amateur golfers age 50 or older as of October 31, 2018.  Both players on team must be a KGA members.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$350.  Deadline for entry is Monday, October 1st at 4:00 pm or when the field fills.  Field is limited to 48 teams total.


36 holes of four-ball stroke play with two divisions.  Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

For Net Scoring, each player's handicap will be reduced to 90% of his course handicap based on slope of the tee distance being played, with handicap strokes applied on a hole by hole basis, and team's net score on a hole by hole "best ball" total.


Two divisions available:

  • Senior (any age - gross & net scoring)
  • Super Senior (both players on team age 60 & older - gross & net scoring)

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,450 yards (Senior Division)
  • 6,080 yards (Super Senior Division)

Practice Round

Mission Hills Country Club is a private facility.  Practice round availability will be very limited.  Practice round cost is $75 per player including cart ($50 for walking player).  Please email PGA Head Golf Professional Jeff King at jking@missionhillscc.com to inquire about practice round time.  Please do NOT call the golf shop to inquire about practice round times.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champion

In 2017 at Falcon Lakes Golf Club, the team of Greg Goode and Eric Sexton rallied for the victory after posting an 8-under par 64 in the final round to best the field.  Goode/Sexton finished at 13-under par 131 total to finish one shot ahead of the Kansas City team of Don Kuehn and Frank Booth.  In the Super Senior Division, the Wichita team of Bill Quattlebaum and Ben York claimed another team championship after rounds of 70-64--134 total.  The teams of Bob Bezek/James Seward and Doug Kaup/Frank Roth finished in second place at 8-under par 136 total.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are provided for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee. Only one cart is allowed per team.  Spectator carts will not be available.

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsibile to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
