Hall of Fame
The Kansas Golf Hall of Fame was founded in 1991 to honor Kansas men and women – amateurs and professionals – who have made outstanding contributions to the game of golf. Hall of Fame inductions are now made in even-numbered years. The Kansas Golf Foundation operates the Hall of Fame as part of its mission to Promote the Future and Preserve the History of Golf in Kansas.
Any person who has resided in Kansas for at least 10 years at any time is eligible to be considered for induction into the Hall of Fame. Nominations, which are due in the Spring of the induction year, may be submitted by any group or person. Categories of Hall of Fame members include Amateur Player, Professional Player, Club Professional, Golf Course Superintendent, Golf Course Architect, Coach, and Contributor to the Game. Candidates who are nominated will be judged based on the general public perception of the nominee, and his or her public record of achievements and contributions to golf in Kansas.

Nominees meeting the criteria are submitted by the Kansas Golf Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which consists of the Trustees of the Kansas Golf Foundation and representatives of golf organizations and news media from around the state. Normally, between one and three nominees are inducted, but not more than one from any category in any induction year. A candidate must receive votes from a majority of the Selection Committee in order to remain as a nominee for future consideration.
The next induction year will be 2010. Nominations for the Class of 2010 Hall of Fame will be due by April 2, 2010. To obtain a nomination form, click here, or contact the KGF office. Nominations must be delivered to Kansas Golf Foundation, 1201 Wakarusa Drive, Suite 5B, Lawrence, KS 66049 (785-842-4833 ext. 205).
