KGF TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP AT FLINT HILLS NATIONAL GOLF CLUB

On August 9, 2010, Flint Hills National Golf club will again host the KGF Team Championship. A maximum field of 36 teams (72 players) will play an 18-hole shamble event and will be treated to lunch in the Flint Hills clubhouse before golf, as well as a first-class cocktail party afterwards.

The team entry fee is $550, and entries will be accepted beginning at 9:00 a.m. on February 1, 2010; a portion of the entry fee is tax-deductible. Players who participated in the 1st KGF Team Championship will have entry priority for the 2010 event. Online entry is will be available on the KGA Championship entry page, or by mail by downloading a paper entry form.

All funds raised will go to support the Kansas Junior Golf Scholarship.  Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded the Kansas Junior Golf Scholarship to five deserving junior golfers who will attend a Kansas college or university.  Nineteen Scholars currently are receiving KGJS grants, which help Kansas junior golfers defray the ever-rising cost of college.  For more information about the KJGS, including information about the current Scholars, go to www.kansasgolf.org/foundation/scholarships.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for the KGF Team Championship. For  information about playing or becoming a sponsor, contact Phil Miller, Executive Director, Kansas Golf Foundation, (785) 842-4833 ext. 205, or by email to phil@kansasgolf.org.
