Male junior amateurs.  Must be a KGA member.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$90.  Deadline for entry is Monday, June 2nd at 4:00 pm.


54 holes of individual stroke play within five age divisions.  Overall Champion to be determined.  The event may be shortened to 36 holes if weather cancels either round.  Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each age division.  Medals awarded to all players that make the cut. 

Following 36 holes there will be a cut to the low 15 and ties in each age division.


Five age divisions: 14 & Under, 15, 16, 17, 18.  Following 36 holes there will be a cut to the low 15 and ties in each age division.

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:
- 6,850 yards (all participants)

Practice Round

Eagle Bend Golf Course will be available for a practice round on Monday, June 9th (weather permitting).  The practice round is included as part of your entry fee.  Please contact the KGA office to arrange your practice round.  Tee times are available from 11:00 am  to 5:00 pm.  The practice round will be paired in groups of four players.  Arranging your practice round with four players is preferred.  Players that call with less than four players will not be given the same priority as players that call with a full group.  KGA office phone and email: (785) 842-4833 ext. 201 or kga@kansasgolf.org

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Chase Hanna - 2013 ChampionDefending Champion

Leawood's Chase Hanna, 18, cruised to an eight shot victory in 2013 at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield.  Hanna used rounds of 66-68-76--210 to finish the championship at 6-under par.  Garden City's Taylor Larsen won the 14 & Under Division.  15 Year Old Division winner was Overland Park's James Henderson.  16 Year Old Division winner was Cole Christian of Wichita.  The 17 Year Old Division was claimed by Overland Park's Evan Shartzer.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.  Spectators carts may be available at the discretion and price determined by the host club.  Caddies are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.

Registration is required for this championship.  The registration table will be located near the clubhouse and/or scoreboard area at the host course.  Players must register prior to their practice round.  At registration, players will sign the player appreciation scroll for the host club, confirm championship starting times and answer any questions that players and/or spectators may have.  

Score Posting

Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System using ESC (equitable stroke control).

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
