Monday, July 25th -- Practice Round

Tuesday, July 26th -- Round One (18 holes, 11 & Under age play front nine)
Wednesday, July 27th -- Round Two (18 holes, 11 & Under age play back nine)

Players Lunch

As part of your invitation, the KGA will provide players lunch following the first round (Tuesday) of the championship. Lunch is not provided following play on Wednesday, July 27th.

Qualifiers from the six section team's within the state.

Entry Fee and Deadline

Entry is $5 and by invitation only.


36 holes of individual stroke within age divisions and junior section team scoring.


Five divisions:

  • 11 & Under (9 holes each day)
  • 12 to 13
  • 14 to 15
  • 16 & Older
  • Girls

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 5,423 yards (11 & Under Division)
  • 5,423 yards (12-13 boys)
  • 6,607 yards (all other boys)
  • 5,871yards (Girls Division)

Practice Round

A practice round is included on Monday, July 25th.  Tee times for the practice round can be arranged by contacting the Emporia Golf Course proshop at (620) 343-5610. Tee time availability is first come first serve.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Blake Allen - 2015 ChampionDefending Champion

Lenexa's Blake Allen repeated as the individual champion at the 2015 Junior Section Team Championship at Quail Ridge Golf Course.  The Metro Section took top honors in the team scoring portion.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.  Spectator carts are allowed at the discretion and price set by the host club.  Caddies are not allowed for junior events sponsored by the KGA and KJGA.

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsibile to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.


For any withdrawals prior to the championship, please contact Tyler Cummins at (913) 226-0922 or tyler@kansasgolf.org ASAP so that an alternate player can be determined.

Score Posting

Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System using ESC (equitable stroke control).

Method of Payments

Emporia Golf Course accepts cash or credit card for all purchases.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
