It's Go Time

Alright – no more excuses!  Spring is here and it’s time to play golf again!

If you have not done so, this would be a good time to visit www.kansasgolf.org and see what KGA championships and events fit your schedule and your interest.

Mid-Amateurs are the first out of the gate with the Mid-Amateur Championship being held on the first weekend of May (3-4) at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence.   This will be a chance for mid-amateurs of all skill levels (yes, there is also a handicap-applied scoring competition in age groups) to enjoy an event that doesn’t interfere with work and see how Eagle Bend has transitioned into one of the very best public venues in Kansas.

Seniors are excited for their annual Senior Four-Ball Championship to be held at Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe on May 12-13.  There are also divisions for net scoring and “super seniors”, so this is a great chance to get the competitive juices flowing again for all avid Kansas senior golfers.

Of course, the junior program (KJGA) as a full slate and online enrollment is well underway.  The KGA Senior Series and Mid-Am Series is another way to compete in one-day events.  All of these programs can be reviewed and entered at www.kansasgolf.org.

Our slogan is “There’s a Game for Everyone” – so, give it a try and bring a friend.
