Experience Links Golf for Yourself!

While you watch the British Open at St. Andrews this weekend and see how the world’s best golfers play the “home of golf”, you might start thinking about playing some links golf in the Ballyliffin Glashedy British Isles yourself.

The KGA will give you an awesome opportunity to do just that in August 2016.  A small band of 20 golf enthusiasts from middle America will journey to Ireland to take on five of that country’s very best and most famous links golf courses.  With the Euro weaker against the Dollar, this is a great time to cross an item off your “bucket list” or for others “go back for more”!

This trip will take place from August Ardglass Golf Club17th through August 24th with five venues to be experienced and six total rounds.  The cost is 2,900 euros based on a double occupancy room (add 580 euros if you want a single room).  Airfare is extra and purchased individually, with roundtrip to and from Dublin.   The package includes world-class accommodations, transportation on a first-class motor coach, daily full Irish breakfast and both a welcoming and farewell dinner hosted by Sullivan Travel.

The lineup of golf courses is exciting.  The group will play Portstewart Strand (formed in 1894 and its first hole ranks as the finest in Ireland), Ballyliffin Glashedy (most northerly links in Ireland and ranked in the top 10 in Ireland), Royal Portrush Dunluce (Top 15 in the World and the only course in Ireland to host a British Open), Ardglass Golf Club (spectacular venue overlooking the Irish Sea) and Royal County Down (consistently ranked as one of the Top 5 golf courses in the world).  The group will play Royal County Down TWICE over two days!

If you are interested in this unbelievable golf trip, contact Kim Richey at the KGA (kim@kansasgolf.org) to get your questions answered and to receive a reservation form.

While this trip is 12 months in the future, tee times are already being booked for these wonderful links courses.  You are encouraged to secure “your seat on the bus” as soon as possible!
