In 2011 the Kansas Golf Association will announce the 12th year of the Collegiate Preview Series.It was formed to give high school age boy golfers from Kansas and surrounding states a high-caliber fall tournament schedule the Midwest areas best courses.The 36-hole, tournaments are events that provide the opportunity to build aspiring college golfers’ playing records and give them a sense of the college golf atmosphere.The Collegiate Preview Series is open to all junior golfers with the following criteria.

Top 30 players on the Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas Junior Cup Point List on August 1, 2011. Other players may submit entry on a first come basis, and must be granted entry by the Collegiate Preview Series Committee.
Additionally, CPS players have the opportunity to earn points toward the All Collegiate Preview Series Team. Points will be awarded at each tournament with the top six players being recognized at the final CPS event. Each team member will then receive a certificate of recognition. Note: Points awarded for collegiate preview series events will go toward junior player of the year points for the following year.

2011 Point Standings Starting Times Player information and starting times are posted on the corresponding association website 5 days prior to the event. If you do not have Internet access, call the appropriate association. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE GOLF COURSE.
DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR TEE TIME. You will either be penalized or DISQUALIFIED.
Do not ask for a change in your assigned tee time. If you have a special request, state it with your entry form and we will attempt to meet the request.
Caddies, Carts & Equipment
All players MUST walk and carry their own clubs. Non-motorized pull carts are allowed. Parents and friends may NOT caddy or put clubs on a cart. Penalty: DISQUALIFICATION.
Each player must have their own clubs (NO sharing with another player).
Golf shoes are recommended, but NOT required. As a condition of competition, the CPS players will NOT be allowed to wear the traditional steel or ceramic tipped spikes on their golf shoes. Players may wear golf shoes with alternative “spikeless” products, i.e. Soft Spikes. Or players may wear any golf teaching shoe, tennis shoe, sneaker, or any other hard or soft-soled shoe that will not penetrate and/or damage a soft putting green. Penalty: DISQUALIFICATION
Withdrawals and Returning Scorecards If a player begins any competition and fails to turn in a scorecard, or if they enter a competition and do not play without notifying the corresponding association 24 hours in advance, that player will be penalized two strokes at the start of play in the next CPS event they enter. Repeated violations could result in suspension from CPS sponsored events.Code of ConductAll players are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner. NO PROFANITY! Any contestant who is found to be cheating will be DISQUALIFIED, and suspended for the remainder of the year from all CPS events. Refunds
The KGA’s policy is no refunds except for sickness or extenuating circumstances. To withdraw, please notify the KGA office immediately. ·I a player properly withdraws prior to the close of entries, upon proper written request, the player will receive a full refund of the entry fee, less a $20 administrative fee. ·If a player properly withdraws after entries close and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the event, upon proper written request, the player will receive a refund of 50% of the entry fee. ·NO REFUND will be made to a player that withdraws less than 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
